There’s not 840q total supply as you must lock BNB baby doge to obtain an ETH baby doge.
Example:
If you wanted 10 billion baby doge on ETH chain. You would need to lock up 10billion baby doge on BNB chain in the bridge.
If you had 10 billion babydoge on ETH chain and wanted 10 billion on BNB chain. You would lock the 10b on ETH then the bridge would give you 10b on BNB chain.
ETH needed the same amount of tokens because if the entire community wanted to move all their tokens to ETH chain. There would not be enough tokens that could be bridged over.
In essence babydoge on ETH is somewhat of a wrapped version of baby doge.
It’s giving you an ETH baby doge token, that can be redeemed for BNB baby doge/ vice versa.
However after 2 years there’s been very little interest in ETH. So we have reduced the amount of tokens that could be bridge.
Example BNB chain has 150quadrillion baby doge, then say something happened to BNB chain. The users would need there to be 150 quadrillion on ETH available to bridge their tokens to ETH.
Some of the best memes are on ETH, so we thought it would be useful for users to have the option to use the ETH network.
Due to little interest on the ETH network it seems like it may make sense to just burn all the ETH side available tokens. We believe ETH is the most decentralized blockchain and some users prefer ETH over BNB chain.
However there’s now only about 90q left on ETH that could be bridged. Due to there being little interest in ETH we think it will be best to just destroy this remaining 90q and babydoge will be left to remain on BNB network. Babydoge will be primarily available on BNB. If we burn the remaining amount on ETH There will only be approx 1-2 quadrillion babydoge that can be on the ETH chain.
